Blindness may be one of man’s greatest fears, but speaking from personal
experience; when you can not look outside of your self you are forced to look
within. Most people are legally blind looking within and I feel that is a
greater handicap than being legally blind with my outer vision.
Looking within, helps you to connect to powerful inner resources that
exist beyond your thinking mind. That connection creates a special state of
mind I call the Blind-zone. In this
Blog we are going to introduce you to the Blind-Zone; a potential blind people
to often over-look”.
We have been conditioned to focus on thinking almost our entire life. Beyond our thinking mind is our most powerful resource and because of our focus habit; we ignore it. A person with visual problems can not see the objects of their thoughts and has a great opportunity to explore that reality.
The ability to see is the way most people tune into their external world. Once you understand something a common response is; I see what you mean. But when seeing is eliminated from your normal habits; you will understand in new creative ways. Developing this new perception can create a unique way of perceiving reality, but it is often ignored by focusing on how you fit in to society.
Society’s main focus is on thinking and incredible things have been developed, but beyond thinking is our greatest resource. When a person can not see the objects of their thoughts; thinking loses importance. That is the threshold of what I call the Blind-Zone. Thinking definitely will be used but from that Blind-Zone perspective.
The Blind-Zone is where a person’s main focus is not on their thoughts. The zone represents an exceptional performance that is beyond ego’s limitations. In sports athletes act with a grace that is not controlled by their thinking mind. When ever a person is in the zone they tap inner resources that are uncommon in their everyday life. I feel they express what I call the Wisdom of their Body. Everyone has that ability, but because we are locked on the thinking level…the zone expression is limited.
A person with visual difficulties has the potential of connecting to that Blind-Zone with a greater ease than people who focus on seeing and on thinking. Don’t misunderstand me, blindness is a difficult handicap and requires special attention, but it is also an incredible opportunity to explore that zone state of mind. When a person develops the Blind-Zone, they have a tremendous resource to offer the sighted world.
Not all blind people are exceptional, but they have an exceptional opportunity to explore and manifest the Blind-Zone. The visual person has the ability to enter the zone, but thinking poses a limitation because that is their conditioned focus. It is difficult to support a blind person to develop the Blind-Zone quality unless they respect the zone experience within them self.
