Fear is a reaction that automatically puts consciousness into what you don’t want. Imagine pointing at what you don’t want…your focus is giving life to that which you do not want & bringing it into your life. When you conquer fear; your focus moves and some thing else enters your life. The question is not what you don’t want but what do you want. Focus your energy there and you will be able to deal with coping with your struggle from a much better place & the actions you take are better received without you interfering with it with your mental anxiety. This requires trust, inner & outer resources working in harmony.
Conquering fear is simply having your focus transcend the thoughts about what you fear. The immediate response with most of the people I work with is; if I don’t take care of it nobody will with my determination. That is true, but there is something even better than that. You can take care of what ever needs to happen from a relaxed conscious state of mind.
Let’s look at the benefits of fear:
· fear motivates you to do things you could over-look
· you seem to put more effort into what you are doing because you don’t want the results of not doing anything
· You think pushing away from what you don’t want moves it away from you
Let’s look at what you would happen if you dealt with the same struggle from a conscious, responsible state of mind
· Fear may motivate you, but you carry your dysfunctional approach with you in almost everything you do
· It is an illusion that you are more effective when you are tense and anxious-a relaxed confident approach can accomplish the same things without useless baggage
· Pushing what you fear away actually puts energy into what you don’t want-focusing on what you do want gives it life
We think taking our focus off our responsibility is wrong & it is if you are not committed to be a complete person. With that simple commitment, your focus is not to create any unfinished business. When you approach responsibilities confidently-they are easier to deal with.
