Learn to Approach your Health Challenge like an Experienced Fighter

A serious health challenge seems to push your panic button which alarms you to take appropriate action. That is actually a good thing, but you can take the same action without the panic which inhibits your immune system.  Explore what karate taught me that affects the way I approach a health challenge.

Let’s look at this with the analogy of a fighter.

·          The inexperienced fighter tenses up to increase strength where the confident experienced fighter is relaxed with a focused strike that has exceptional power. Do you panic when you face a health challenge?

·         The inexperienced fighter throws strikes as fast as possible hoping to hit his/her target. The experienced fighter provides focused strikes with amazing precision. Panic or precision; how do you deal with your health challenge?

·         The inexperienced fighter emotionally gets involved in his fight with uncontrolled emotions which often times work against him. Some emotional reactions tense you up and slow you down. The experienced fighter utilizes emotions as the powerful tools they are, but controlled and focused. Do emotions use you or do you use the power of your emotions?

Now think of dealing with your health challenge like either an inexperienced fighter or an experienced fighter. You transform the fight by the way you perceive the challenge. Your fight is your health challenge and you have the power to control how you face your challenge. The good news is that is one of the easiest things to control; if you are willing to step back and trust your deepest inner wisdom.

Learn to be an experienced fighter in my e-book “I Found a Healthy way to be Sick and so can You”. • Ultimate Healing; Mind/body
When you look at an ultimate healing; you have to consider the mind of the patient as you focus on healing the body. If you heal the body without healing the mind there really isn’t a complete healing. In this article we look at how thinking habits can easily be changed so the way illness is interpreted supports the healing process. What we think in our mind has immediate effects on the experience of the body. Our interpretations have the ability to increase the stress we feel and stress has an influence on our immune system and how we respond to medical treatments. We have the power to control our interpretations and if that helps our medical treatments only 10%; it is a good idea to look at that part of our life seriously. The creations of our mind aren’t how we can cure our illnesses; but if the way we use our mind limits us in any way we have to correct that to heal at our full potential. We have the power to create new thinking habits so we interpret reality differently. If the way we think can influence our health only 10%, that increase is nothing to ignore. 10% of a million dollars is significant and a 10% in healing is significant also.
