A conscious in-breath is what you give life to. We automatically breathe life into what we think, our habits and our past conditioning. Too often, the thoughts and conditioning we give life to cut our breath short. In Latin, “worry” comes from “choke,” for when we breathe into thoughts that cut our breath short, we often worry about them.
Wouldn’t it be amazing to create conscious habits, so that we breathe into the silence beyond our thoughts? By doing so, we would activate the Wisdom of our Body. It takes confidence to breathe into silence, for there is nothing there to lean on. When we give our life to silence, we are literally activating inner resources that are essential to accomplish goals. We need to do that as we work with doctors because, when we activate our inner wisdom, we actively participate in healing from our deepest wisdom. Becoming an active partner utilizing this inner wisdom makes the treatments more effective and removes mental sabotage.
Breathing into our past conditioning gives life to the way we were conditioned. If your conditioning gave you a reaction to authority, it would be natural to resist. If your conditioning gave you fear of the unknown, you would remain on the level of thoughts. By focusing there, you would not activate the Wisdom of your Body and would not work with your doctor utilizing your inner resources. Modern medicine is truly a miracle. The human body with inner wisdom makes you more receptive to that miracle without the limitations of your mind.
A conscious in-breath is the first step a patient needs to become an active partner with his/her doctor. Go to http://lifeskillsinc.com to download A Healthy Way to be Sick.
